Double room available in the modern apartment with sea views in the trendy Leith/Newhaven district.
You will be sharing the accommodation with just myself, a 39 year old professional female with a busy lifestyle. Originally from Yorkshire I moved to Edinburgh 17 years ago and now am proud to call this wonderful City my home. I'm very sociable, happy, warm and welcoming, I love to chat and meet new people . I enjoy fitness, being outdoors, travel, dining out and socialising with friends to name just a few of the things I do to keep me entertained. I have hosted International Students from all over the world (who come to Edinburgh to improve their English) for many many years.

This listing is for a second bedroom in a modern two bedroom apartment including exclusive use of private bathroom across the hall with bath and power shower.
The room is a lovely modern, clean, airy and bright room with a comfortable double bed, large wall mirror, fitted wardrobes and a small set of drawers in the bedside table, so plenty of space to store clothes. The room has a large double glazed window. The sun reaches the bedroom in the afternoon which warms up the room nicely. However, in the cooler months the room has its own fitted electric heater so can be made as cosy as you wish.
You will have full access to the comfortable open plan living room/kitchen which has lovely sea views out over the forth to Fife and East Lothian. There is a high bar table for dining or feel free to slouch on the sofa and eat on your lap watching TV!
About the location (Newhaven, Edinburgh)
The apartment is located in the Western Harbour residential district of Newhaven which borders on the edge of Leith. Leith is full of character and is a hub of lively eating and drinking spots, creativity and cultural diversity. My block enjoys (as yet) unspoilt views over to Fife, East Lothian and Leith docks where cruise liners and naval ships dock.
If you lean out of the living room window (i'm on the 5th floor) you can see the Royal Yacht Britannia docked at Ocean Terminal! Ocean Terminal is a shopping centre with restaurants and multiplex cinema, this is a 20 minute walk away.
A 24 hour ASDA supermarket is a 10 minute walk away as is Newhaven Harbour, a small harbour with a few lovely restaurants and bars by the waterside. A 25 minute walk away (or short bus ride away) you have The Shore area (Edinburgh's best kept secret, not touristy at all!) which hosts a number of dining options for all budgets and tastes, the area boasts 3 Michelin star restaurants but in amongst are also some fantastic fish restaurants. A couple of my favourite places at the moment are Cafe Tartine and the Roseleaf.
From my apartment to the city centre it can take anywhere between 20-30 minutes depending on traffic and of course the time of day.
The living room/kitchen looks out to Leith Docks, where you can see the boats coming in and enjoys great views out to Fife and East Lothian. The bedroom windows look out over the communal courtyard with views to Edinburgh Castle in the distance.
