About this accommodation.
Used as a holiday/weekend home by the owners since it was built four years ago, the apartment is immaculate and built to a high specification; the building has won architectural awards. It is situated at the end of a block on the banks of the Water of Leith directly adjacent to and overlooking the water in the best possible location for both transport and nightlife.
It has a video entry system, internal elevator, private parking, a large covered balcony and large sliding floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living area and master bedroom that open directly onto the balcony. In summer you can slide the doors open and let the balcony become part of the living area.

About the location.
Like many waterfront developments Leith has become a very desirable place to live and with the influx of young people the facilities have increased tremendously: there are dozens of cafes, pubs and restraunts within a few minutes walk from the apartment. The stylish Ocean Terminal, a ten-minute walk away, is Edinburgh's most recently built shopping centre and is home to many fashionable shops and eating places as well as a multi-screen cinema. Moored beside it is the Royal Yacht Britannia.
Leith is renowned for its fish restaurants but it has dozens of other eating places. There are now two Michelin-starred restaurants: Martin Wishart - which you can see from our apartment - and Kitchin. You could walk to Edinburgh city centre in about 25 minutes but it is easier just to hop on one of the buses that stop opposite the apartment.
