About the location (Murrayfield, Edinburgh)
Murrayfield is a very affluent, prestigious area of Edinburgh, where you will find quiet residential streets and older period houses. It is a tranquil, green oasis within the city. The area is well served by public transport. Near our flat, which is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac called Upper Coltbridge Terrace, there are bus stops just 5 minutes' walk away. Buses going into the city centre and elsewhere drop off and pick up here. There is also easy access to and from Edinburgh Airport from these bus stops. It takes approximately 15 minutes by bus into the heart of Princes Street in Edinburgh's City Centre, or 10 minutes to the West End, and 20-30 minutes' bus ride to Edinburgh Airport.
Nearby the flat - 5 minutes' walk - there are local shops, such as newsagents, Co-op for groceries, hairdressing salon, etc and even a popular French cafe. The supermarket is about 2 miles distant if you want to do a big shop. Otherwise, the Co-op will serve your needs. There is also a pub and local takeaways.
Murrayfield is a great location for a city centre holiday. Just one mile from the centre or 15 minutes' walk, so that you are just far away enough from the hustle and bustle in order to enjoy a quiet relaxing break, but close enough to the city to nip in quickly and enjoy the shops and other attractions it has to offer. It is also a safe area, which is particularly nice if you are going back to the flat late at night.
Attractions close by include the city centre itself, where you will find lots of shops and attractions, including Sir Walter Scott's Monument (climb to the top for fantastic views), Princes Street Gardens (look out for the pretty Garden Clock), and Edinburgh Castle.
Drive away from the city, and you will come to Edinburgh Zoo 1 mile from the flat. If you are a rugby fan, why not visit Murrayfield Stadium, which is just a short walk from the flat?
The Water of Leith pathway and a cycle path are just behind the flat. Take a nice stroll and visit other parts of Edinburgh using this pathway that the locals use. A place of tranquility amid the bustle of city life!
Of course, there are lots more things to do and lots more places to see, and we can point you in the right direction, with the leaflets and other details that you will find in the flat. Or just ask. All are close by.
And if you are intending to drive out of Edinburgh for a day trip, you will find our flat excellently situated for an easy getaway to the city outskirts - just 15 minutes. Edinburgh Airport is also easily accessible - 20 minutes!

Customer Testimonials We really enjoyed our time in the flat and it was so nice to have access to the public transport, free parking outside and a beautifully equipped flat. We will certainly approach you again when we stay in Edinburgh and I'll recommend it to anyone wanting a short-term base in the city. Many thanks again. John, December
A lovely stay! So convenient for the rugby station and city centre. Enjoyed the walk into town which took us just 10 minutes! Just nice for a city break. Great place to relax, away from the noise and bustle of the city, but so close to everything. Haymarket Station was a convenient 10-minute walk. Gary, September
We stayed a month and really enjoyed the flat. It was a joy to use the kitchen which had everything you would need. A home from home! Yee, September

It was very nice staying in your accommodation. We all had a very nice time and the accommodation was excellent. It was beyond our expectations. We can see that you have put a lot of effort into the accommodation and we wanted to leave it the way we found it! Like ! said on the phone, we will definitely be visiting again. Many thanks August, Jean, UK
Thanks so much for sharing your flat. It was lovely and big, and so beautiful. Everywhere was spotless. And many thanks for the little homely touches! After a long drive from London, it was so good to sit down to a welcome cup of tea with biscuits and cake! The kids enjoyed the crisps and fruit too! Tina, August
Thanks so much for the free welcome pack. The kids were hungry when we arrived, and it was so handy to find the eggs, milk and other ingredients to make an omelett for them. It staved off their hunger! Ann, August
So kind of you to make us so welcome even though we arrived late! The welcome pack was a life-saver - lots for a snack on arrival, and breakfast too! And many thanks too for all the essentials that you left us, which we did not have time to get - oil, milk, shampoo, dishwasher tablets and such - little things like that make such a difference. We felt so welcome! Lou, August
