An excellent self catering apartment which is on the first floor in one of the historic buildings in Edinburgh in an area dating back to 1544. The apartment is decorated and finished to a high standard.

The kitchen is very well equipped with all the mod cons you would expect to see in a self catering apartment. There is an electric oven and hob, washer drier as well as fridge freezer and microwave. The bathroom is a good size with bath and electric shower over
There is a double bedroom, and there is an additional sofa bed in the lounge meaning the apartment can reasonably accommodate 2+2 people.
Electric panel heaters are throughout with their own controls to regulate the temperature
About the location (Old Town, Edinburgh)
The Old Town of Edinburgh consists originally of the main street, the Royal Mile, and a number of small alleyways and courtyards that lead off it to the north and south. These were normally named after the trade that was carried out by one of more of the residents in that building - hence Advocate's Close. One end of the Royal Mile is the Castle itself and Royal Observatory and to the other end is Holyrood Palace all within an easy stroll from the apartment. There are numerous bars, cafes, restaurants and speciality shops all along the Royal Mile - so plenty to do just walking up and down this street.
Off the Royal Mile you have the Mound leading down into Princes Street and to the New Town of Edinburgh which is the main shopping district (about 10 minutes down the hill). However if you want to escape the city - 10 minutes in the opposite direction will take you past the National Museum and on to The Meadows which is a great central park and worth a visit to get a different view of the City.
The apartment has great views up and down the Royal Mile - it is situated in the heart of the Old Town, it is a fabulous spot to explore Edinburgh and all it has to offer.
Towels and linen provided
We expect our guests to enjoy the property and treat it like home, but to leave it in the same condition they found it. We would also ask as this is an apartment that they do respect the noise levels and their neighbours.
Please note that an total initial instalment of 35% is required to confirm your booking, 10% initially via credit or debit card to edlets.com & a further 25% directly to the property host.
The remaining balance of 65% is due 8 weeks prior to arrival (or immediately if within this period) and is also payable directly to the property host.
Payment to the property host can be made via bank transfer, credit or debit card. Please note that credit cards payments will incur a 3% surcharge.
A refundable security deposit may also be requested.
Cancellation 8 weeks or more prior to arrival - 35% of total booking is retained; Less than 8 weeks prior to arrival - full payment is retained. All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by the property host.
