Chessels Court Apartment is a cosy and comfortable self-catering apartment nestled in a courtyard setting just off the Royal Mile in the centre of Edinburgh's Old Town.
The apartment is located about half way down the Royal Mile, and because it is in a courtyard it sits back from the main road and you are pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle of the street.
Because of its location you would be forgiven for forgetting that you are in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, but a few steps out of the front door will remind you, with the hubbub of one of Scotland's most famous streets and many of the city's attractions, bars and restaurants just a short walk away.
The accommodation comprises:
The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with two single beds. There is also a sofa bed so we can accommodate up to six people, great if you are travelling as a family or as a group of friends.
The living room window looks out onto the courtyard, as does the king size bedroom, and from the windows on the other side of the apartment you can see over the surrounding rooftops to Arthurs Seat a volcanic rock formation which forms part of Holyrood Park and is a favourite summit to climb for residents and visitors alike.
The apartment is cosy and well equipped, with clean sheets and towels and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits to help you feel at home. We are not a hotel, and we wouldn't want to feel like one. Staying in the apartment gives you a more authentic experience, much closer to that of living here as a local, but with home comforts and conveniences that remind you that you are here as our guest.
After a long day exploring, relax and enjoy 80+ TV channels on the smart TV or our selection of books, board games, DVDs and super fast fibre broadband included for your enjoyment. The dining table can be extended to seat six and the kitchen is well equipped if you feel like cooking. There is a dishwasher so no need to do the washing up as you are on holiday after all!
We also have a washing machine and a fold away clothes airer in case you need to do a little laundry, an ironing board, iron and hairdryers.
If you are travelling with little ones we have a changing mat, potty, high chair, small travel cot and blankets, please ask for details.

Among many other things, we have world heritage sites, monuments, a royal palace, green spaces, stunning architecture, restaurants, museums, cafes, art galleries, theatres, a zoo, all kinds of shopping options and our own Castle!
An important thing to know about Edinburgh city centre is that it is a town of two halves, old and new. The medieval Old Town grew up around the Royal Mile and many of the buildings date back to those times. As the population increased the wealthier residents increasingly wanted to escape the noisy and crowded accommodation and the New Town was developed with itas beautiful neo-classical architecture and wide streets. The gaps between the Old and New Town filled over time and the result is the eclectic and fascinating mixture of architecture you can see today.
Don't forget to look up as you go about the city, you'll be amazed by the details on the buildings!
