What a fantastic location! Easy walking distance to most of the bigger Fringe venues. Great room with comfy bed and the shared kichen had every facility aswell as the most stunning view of Arthur's Seat!
Really helpful staff too. Ill be booking again for next year!

Affordable digs during the fringe

The staff were lovely, and the room was very clean. But, a couple of issues will make me think twice before booking again.
The room doesn’t have any low-lighting for bedtime. One light had a dimmer switch, but it flickered at the lowest setting. Clearly the room is designed for students to bring their own lamps, but it made our stay a little less comfortable.

Also, the double-bed was a lot smaller than you would get in an ordinary hotel, which made it a bit more uncomfortable for me and my husband.

What a perfect, inexpensive place to stay. Great location for the Fringe and International Festivals, just 10 minutes’ walk away from many prime festival locations, others just 15 or 20 minutes including the Royal Mile. A wonderful array of restaurants and shops just a block or two away. Very clean dorm rooms, nice and well-equipped shared kitchen and common area. Bed worked for the two of us, a little cosy. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed almost two weeks, and would definitely book again!

I was very happy with the accomodation and the help given by edlets to find it. It was very clean and new. The bed was comfy which is praise indeed from me and was luxurious for 1 but a bit small for 2 as it was a 3/4 size double bed. The shower was good and there was complimentary soap and shampoo as well as clean towels. There was plenty of storage space, a good worktop and comfy chair too. It felt very secure and safe with all the locked doors.
The kitchen and lounge were useful with good facilities, basic equipment, eating area, comfy sofa and TV. Fridges and cookers and microwave all good.
I had trouble getting the WiFi to work and eventually gave up.
I found the staff on reception very helpful and this area was a relaxing place to wait on arrival and check-out days. It was really useful being able to store luggage here on those days too.

We recently stayed here and were delighted with the accommodation - modern, clean, everything worked perfectly and an enormous, well appointed/ equipped new kitchen. a real 5 star find, so close to all of the Fringe events at a bargain price! We will definitely stay here again!
