Your hosts, Steve and Heather, are experienced travellers who enjoy meeting people from all over the world and are always happy to offer recommendations or help with local knowledge.
There are also two friendly dogs in the home, Bear and Ruby, who are part of the household but won't intrude on your space.
About the location (Currie, Edinburgh)
Currie is a quiet and well-connected village with everything you need close by. There are local pubs serving good food, a lovely cafe, and takeaways including Indian, Dominoes and traditional fish and chips. A Scotmid supermarket is just around the corner for any essentials.
The location is ideal for exploring the area a we're just a 5-minute walk from the train station, with regular services into Edinburgh, and there are also several bus routes nearby. The airport is a 15-minute drive, and the tram is also close by. We're also conveniently close to the Highland Showground at Ingliston, the Lost Shore Surf Resort, Ratho International Climbing Centre, and Heriot-Watt University.
If you are looking to get out into nature, the Pentland Hills and surrounding countryside are all within easy reach.
