Clean accommodation for 1 month stay

Reviewed on Tue, 01 Jul 2025 by Chris , Canada (Stayed here in July, 2025)

Stayed here for one month with a work colleague on a joint work trip / holiday. Overall the accommodation was clean, simple, and comfortable with no major issues over the course of our stay. Iain (the host) was kind, responsive, and helpful!

    Highlights:
    - Close proximity to old town, lots of restaurants/cafes/shops, transit (buses) and the royal mile
    - Apartment was very clean and cleaners came once per week to change sheets/towels and freshen up the place
    - One of the cheaper accommodations we could find in Edinburgh (although still very expensive even from north American standards)
    - No issues with neighbours and quiet/safe at night
-Check in and check out very easy

    Improvements/comments:
    - The apartment itself is located in a housing complex that from the outside looks rough (ie. run down building, dirty balconies with junk on them). But despite that the apartment itself is very clean and honestly never felt unsafe there.
    - No AC although we wouldn't have needed it for the majority of our stay
    - Fairly well stocked apartment but needed a few things (ex. more cutlery, paper towels, etc)
-Both bedrooms have 2 single beds pushed together to make a larger bed

Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it again to colleagues. In my opinion it is a bit more expensive than it should be although I understand that Edinburgh is a very pricy city. Despite its immediate location inside the public housing complex it is a clean and safe apartment to stay in.

Yet another great edlets place to stay!

Reviewed on Mon, 10 Jul 2023 by Joanne , France (Stayed here in July, 2023)

This was yet another wonderful place to stay for us in Edinburgh, thanks to Edlets--close to Holyrood park, a quick walk to the lower part of the royal mile, and Southbridge (for groceries, etc.), it was also close to the University gym (Pleasance sports centre). everything was easy and it was comfortable, clean, spacious and full of modern conveniences. Iain was a wonderful host! We stayed for a month, for work and would be happy to stay here again.

A nice spot for a long visit

Reviewed on Sat, 08 Jul 2023 by Peter Henne , United States (Stayed here in July, 2023)

My family and I stayed here for two months while I was in Edinburgh doing some work. It's a very nice location, a short walk to bus routes and very near HolyRood park. There's also a playground next to the complex, which is great for small kids. It's a short walk to Edinburgh University, with all the shopping and eating available near there.

The flat itself is nice. It's a two-level with plenty of space for my family of four. The kitchen had recently been redone when we stayed there.

We never met the landlord in person, but were in touch via email pretty easily. A few problems occurred and he took care of them pretty quickly. And a woman comes by about once a week to change the linens and such.

Linen change and cleaning is what sells this place

The view as well is pleasant, and breathtaking especially at sunset. Pippa, the house keeper, is one of the kindest and caring people you could ever meet. And she shares tourist info that can be helpful depending on your interests. We enjoyed staying here for 2.5 months. So central as well!

Best place i could’ve stayed in edinburgh

Reviewed on Tue, 03 Sep 2019 by Veronica Hylak , United States (Stayed here in September, 2019)

This place felt like scotland. It is cozy and clean, felt like home. 4 minute walk to the royal mile, walking distance to everything (train station, castle, etc). When I’m back in Edinburgh again someday in the future would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

Excellent location, only 10 minutes walk to The Royal Mile and The Fringe Festival. Tescos was close by. Clean flat with everything we needed, the lady who met us was friendly and helpful. The owner was quick to respond to my queries, friendly and helpful. Lovely views over the hills to the rear. Would stay again.

    Centrally located, clean and tidy

Reviewed on Sat, 10 Aug 2019 by Arnold Yeomans , United Kingdom (Stayed here in August, 2019)

Four of us attended the Fringe festival and stayed together in the flat. The flat is very convenient for some of the festival's main hubs of activity (Pleasance Courtyard & Dome, Glided Balloon, Assembly). Good value cafes, restaurants and takeaways are nearby also.

The flat was clean, and tidy and equipped as you might expect. and just right for the four of us, with the two double bedrooms (one overlooking Arthur's Seat).. It's located in a block of flats,, and there are lots of steps to the entrance from whichever direction you approach it(which is no problem unless you have mobility issues).

All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

    Faultless stay

Reviewed on Mon, 02 Jul 2018 by Rob Byrne , Ireland (Stayed here in July, 2018)

I cannot commend this property enough. Myself and a colleague stayed here for close to 3 months while on a contracted job.

The location is 5 minutes from the royal mile but the scenery and the atmosphere would make you feel as if you were in the countryside.

We never felt uncomfortable over the course of our stay and Iain was always sure to keep in contact with helpful advice during our stay.

Our stay in Edinburgh was amazing in no small part due to this accommodation that we lived in. Location, value, facilities, cleanliness, and service were all 5/5.

    Comfy, clean, convenient

Reviewed on Mon, 28 Aug 2017 by Michelle Golder , United Kingdom (Stayed here in August, 2017)

With a stunning view of Arthur's Seat, this flat was spotlessly clean, super convenient for fringe venues, restaurants, etc, and just right for two to four people. It's in a big block of flats, which we didn't realise, but was private and quiet. We had a great stay and recommend it to other visitors.

Excellent apartment for a short stay in edinburgh

Reviewed on Mon, 07 Aug 2017 by Lk , Australia (Stayed here in August, 2017)

Three of us stayed in this apartment for a weekend over the Edinburgh festival. Clean, with a good amount of space and freshly painted, it was in an excellent location to walk to the many festival venues, as well as the sights of Edinburgh. For those who don't want to walk, it is a short uber/taxi ride to the tourist center of town. The area was very quiet and a Tesco Express is close by. The apartment is very well equipped and has an amazing view overlooking Arthur's Seat. Communication with the owner was easy and efficient to organize key pick up and drop off. Wireless internet worked well. The only negative is the shower doesn't have strong pressure, but this was a small inconvenience in an oterhwise excellent apartment.
