Avondale Place is located in the heart of Stockbridge, the most vibrant district in Edinburgh, where some of the city's top restaurants, bars and shops can be found. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Botanic Garden, and the water of Leith, Edinburgh's river, flows literally at the end of the street, offering a splendid natural walkway from Edinburgh to the Port of Leith.
There are many facilities around for sports lovers: Glenogle Baths, a public swimming pool dating from the 19th century, is located 200m from the house, and the prestigious Grange sports club, with its legendary cricket playing field and grass tennis courts.
The apartment forms part of the Stockbridge colonies, built in the mid-19th century to provide housing for the masons, who took part in the construction of the New Town, and their families.
