Lovely flat but pricey and not central

I did enjoy my stay in this perfectly lovely flat, and the couple who rented it are very sweet as well. That said, Canonmills as a neighborhood isn't easy to get to from Old Town using buses (and the tram wasn't running, not that it's particularly helpful in this case since the tram isn't super close to the flat either). Most of the tourist/Fringe action is in Old Town, and because I had to take Ubers everywhere, the price point for the rental ended up feeling really high. If you don't mind walking 30 mins to and from town, the advantages of the location are that it's very pretty and it's quiet. I wish more people renting their flats for Fringe would consider that artists are pouring all their money into accommodations. It would be great to see the costs come down.
