About the location (Argyll, Insh)
Situated at Inveruglas (by Insh) and close to Aviemore, Kirkstone Lodge is in the perfect location for walkers and cyclists (the Rothiemurchus & Glen Feshie mountain bike trail is a personal favourite and has 12 & 24 mile variants).
Visit Alvie Estate for a taste of somenthing different; clay pigeon shooting, paintball, quad bike tours, zipwire park & bushcraft survival techniques are all on offer. If you prefer the real thing, Cairngorm Ski & Snowboard centre can provide passes & ski schools for the brand new and those wanting a little more ploughing practice.
Golf enthusiasts won't be disappointed either with 6 courses within a 20 mile radius of Kingussie! If you fancy seeing the Cairngorms from above, several companies offer gliding experiences with fantastic aerial views.
Or if you'd rather get up close and personal with the wildlife, Insh Marshes Wetland Reserve is a popular spring nesting site for Goldeneyes, as well as chances to spot Lapwings, Redshanks, Curlews, Oystercatchers, Snipe & Wigeon.
