Homely and expansive

Lovely place for a holiday visit to Edinburgh. It was like being at home, cooking and with lots of space for wifey and me. Description was accurate and we were well received by Adam.A bargain for the price. It's close to tourist spots and high street but in a quiet neighbourhood. We felt like locals. Wife wished there was a washing machine in place - only drawback apparently. I recommend this apartment.

Cosy apartment
Reviewed on Sat, 19 Aug 2017 by Steve Kennedy , United Kingdom
(Stayed here in August, 2017)
We rented this apartment for 8 days during the Edinburgh Festival for myself and a friend. So, 2 of us using both bedrooms. It's a small apartment so sleeping 4 would feel a little cosy. You definitely can't fit more than two people in the kitchen.
The kitchen is only basically equipped and there are no laundry facilities (there is a launderette 2 minutes walk away).
There was no one to meet us but that wasn't a problem as the key safe was easy to operate and the staff made sure that they contacted us to inform us of the combination etc.
For what we used it for, the apartment was very good as we spent most of the time out and we didn't cook many meals in.
The website description was accurate but look for what it doesn't say as well, eg laundry facilities.
It was clean, it has a modern bathroom and the beds were comfortable. The second bedroom has bunk beds
It was expensive but then everywhere is during the festival.
Ideally it would have been a little closer to the centre of town (20-30 minute walk) but the bus services are good and a taxi costs about a fiver. There is a Sainsbury's an easy 10 minute walk away. On-street parking is a potential problem but gaps appear throughout the day and we managed to park near the apartment on the first morning.
I would stay here again but probably for not quite so long.
