    Perfect flat for the fringe festival

    We booked this flat for 2 weeks for the Fringe festival. It is extremely convenient for Fringe and it perfectly met our needs. It's on High Street at the intersection where it becomes pedestrian only. Caution: This is not a good flat if you are looking for a quiet retreat in August. It is surprisingly soundproof for an old building but there are buskers and crowds all day just outside the front door, and pub crawlers singing in the street at 2 in the morning. But we enjoyed the bustle. We looked forward to the bagpiper who showed up every morning at 9 in front of our door. And you can hear the bell on the hour at St. Giles.

    It is so conveniently located. We only had to take the lift down 4 flights and walk out the front door to be fully immersed in Fringe. We never had to walk more than 15 minutes to get to any of the Fringe venues, and there are loads of good restaurants nearby (crappy ones too, so do your research.) Basic grocery supplies are easily reach nearby.

    The flat itself exceeded our expectations. The common rooms - living room, dining room, kitchen - are surprisingly spacious and attractively furnished, making it nice to come back to at the end of a busy day. The kitchen has everything you need to make a hot breakfast or lunch or tea in the afternoon - we appreciated the generous supply of tea on hand. Everything is well-maintained and in working order - not even a single burned-out lightbulb. The shower did not have great water pressure but the hot water was plentiful and we appreciated that everything was so clean. We had a fantastic experience. We'd stay here again.
