ItAs a highly friendly and arty area with beautiful houses and apartments, gardens and large well planted doorsteps. Art galleries, antique shops and small fashion boutiques are close by, and Edinburgh's prettiest and most gracious streets all round along with handsome historic churches and monuments. Transport is easy and frequent and Princes Street is a five minute walk up the hill.
