Super location

Had a super stay in the Grassmarket. Seamless check in with the key safe. Ideal location for access to the city, everything just a short walk away. Flat is very spacious, clean and in great condition. A high chair and travel cot was left out for us which was much appreciated. The only small negative (as we had a small child in a buggy) was the spiral staircase up to the first floor but we managed just fine all the same.....as well as the noise from the grassmarket pubs at night-time. The location and flat itself made up for those very minor inconveniences however and we had a fabulous stay, thank you!

Old historic location in central edinburgh

Remember this is a very very old and historic area of Edinburgh. Steep climbing to flat. Nice sized bedrooms but noise from traffic and restaurant below. Comfy beds with plenty of bedding. Cushions placed on sectional need renewed; frying pans need renewed; coffee pot and toaster need to be cleaned before new renters; battery in clock needs to be replaced; light bulbs need to be replaced. Writing around the nobs for oven temperature on the cooker are non-existent and we had to try and figure that out with Google! Took us a while to figure out central heating and TV! (even with instructions from the owner) but when we did, worked perfectly. Windows are very old and very drafty. Bathroom good size but don't hit your head on the medicine cabinet trying to wash your face in the basin; shower was perfect. Floors are very old and sagging in some spots (again an historic flat). Garbage has to be put out in the bins across the road on the street.
If simple things were fixed, I would stay here again as the price for late October was good.

Location is second to none.
Host was very efficient and quickly responded to queries.
Overall a great base and place to hang out whilst at the fringe.

Really loved the apartment. Very very clean, had everything we wanted and in a perfect location. Within walking distance to Princes street and Waverly station. Great directions from Gavin and very easy to access the apartment. Loads of space.
