About the location of Achiltibuie Holiday Home (Highland, Achiltibuie)
|
There are spectacular views from the cottage over the Summer Isles and, on a clear day, the Cuillins on the Isle of Skye.
The holiday home is located within the North West Scotland Geopark, which is Scotland's first Geopark with some of the oldest rocks in the world. There are stunning mountain landscapes, clean sandy beaches and ancient settlements.
In the village of Achiltibuie, and within easy walking distance of the cottage, there is a garage with shop, and a hotel with pub.
The property makes a perfect base for walkers; from strolling along the sandy Coigach Peninsula to ascending the breathtaking Ben More Assynt.
Fishing trips by boat are available out to Loch Oscaig; for trout & salmon, and Loch Lurgainn for brown trout. Rods are available to rent and fishing from the Garvie & Beiste banks can be just as prosperous.
Alternatively, Puffins & Cormorants can be seen around the rocks and Golden & Sea Eagles and Ospreys are a rare but definite possibility.
