Old Town, Edinburgh

Based in Edinburgh's historic Old Town, Unusual Venues are a family run company who host events from three of the most exciting venues you’ll find anywhere in the UK:

The Caves

The Caves is a truly unique venue that makes up the sub-structure of the 18th Century South Bridge. There is no venue more Edinburgh than the Caves, or more Scottish, if you consider there was once so much Whisky stored here that it became known as "Whisky Row".

The Rowantree

The Rowantree was originally called Lucky Middlesmass’s Tavern and iscelebrated in Robert Ferguson's much loved poem , "Cauler Oysters". It was the watering hole for the all the key figures in the Scottish Enlightenment, Rabbie Burns, David Hume, Adam smith, Deacon Brodie, with visits from James Watt and Benjamin Franklin. Steeped in history and fabulously cosy The Rowantree is the ideal venue for weddings and events.

Marlins Wynd

Set in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town, the splendid vaulted cellars of Marlin's Wynd provide an enchanting setting for weddings, private parties and private dining.
